Malapascua Island is situated in the Visayan Sea, located across a shallow strait from the northernmost tip of Cebu Island. Malapascua is a small island, only about 2.5 kilometres long and 1 kilometre wide.

In October 2010 I was in Malapascua for diving and I stayed in the Hippocampus Beach Resort.

At my dives, I was also lucky to see the Tresher Shark and also one Manta Ray during the same dive at Monad Shoal, very early in the morning:
